Do I need to get a doctor’s referral to see a physical therapist?

NO! Physical therapists have direct access.

  • Consumers can go directly to a physical therapist for an initial evaluation before  seeing a doctor first.
  • If physical therapy treatment is recommended, we will provide you and your physician documentation  requesting approval for additional visits to resolve your health issue.
  • If your insurance requires a referral, we will help coordinate all necessary documentation.

Physical therapists are experts in combining hands on treatment techniques with exercise (and education) to eliminate pain and restore mobility, strength and activity level.

If your insurance is not listed, it doesn’t mean we don’t accept it, call 781-769-2040.

Effective January 1, 2017 ***Our client managers will verify your insurance benefits before your first visit so that you will know up front what your cost will be regarding copays and deductibles.  Clients who have a deductible that has not been met will need to pay $85 for the initial visit and $65 for each follow up visit covering the majority of the cost and preventing a large bill from being owed at the end.   Copays will remain due at the time of service. You will be sent monthly statements and any additional charges not covered will need to be collected at that time.  We don’t like this anymore than you do. This is happening to everyone.***
